SUMMARY:     

Match and Fable’s client delivers a refreshing twist to an established industry.
They’re looking for a sales professional who can take advantage of their ‘game-changing’ software solution and rise above selling strictly on price.

Once you lay your eyes on their proprietary technology solution … you’ll easily recognize the opportunities it will afford in the market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uncover, develop and maintain OTR FTL, LTL and courier business
  • Prospect for leads … build a pipeline … and close business
  • Anticipate client requirements and meet their needs in a professional manner
  • Provide service to delight your clientele
  • Mine for additional business opportunities within the existing client base


REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Education doesn’t matter (but you need to be smart)!
  • Industry specific designations/certifications – a strong asset
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience with 3PL transportation or brokerage sales
  • Solid understanding of North American transportation industry including highway (domestic and cross border), courier and logistics
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills


REMUNERATION:

BASE SALARY: $80,000 – $120,000
ON-TARGET VARIABLE: $25,000+ (uncapped + evergreen)
ON-TARGET EARNINGS: $105,000 – $145,000
OTHER: car allowance + cellphone allowance + benefits + accelerators on commission

THE ‘REAL 007’ ROLE (OTE: $162,500 – $178,125)

If you’re a James Bond fan, you’ve certainly watched the opening scene in Goldfinger … where Bond emerges from the water in a wetsuit and after a quick fight and rigging an explosion … peels off the wet suit, to reveal a dry tuxedo … and lights himself a cigarette!

In November 1941, Peter Tazelaar (a Dutch agent working for the Secret Service) plunged into the waters off the Dutch coast.  His mission – to infiltrate a Nazi-occupied casino and free two captured agents!

Stealthily, Tazelaar swam to the docks. He discarded his specially designed scuba suit and, (just like in the movie) … stood there, dry as a bone, in a tuxedo of his own!

He removed a flask from his suit jacket and doused himself in cognac.

Pretending to be drunk … Peter stumbled past the Nazi guards, entered the casino, tracked down the agents … and completed his mission!

What’s this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?
Not much really.
That said, our client is looking for a Canadian Director of Sales who can complete a few ‘missions’ of their own!

SUMMARY:

The SVP of this iconic organization has the strategy … what he’s in need of, is a strong sales leader who can step in and execute.

Based from their offices in Mississauga … you will manage a national sales team and play a key role in driving the business forward.
Ultimately … you will own the sales results of the entire commercial team.

POSITION: DIRECTOR, SALES
SCOPE: CANADA
REPORTING TO: SVP, SALES & MARKETING
OFFICE: MISSISSAUGA

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with Executive Leadership Team to optimize and execute the sales strategy for Canada
  • In conjunction with SVP … establish annual targets for national sales team and ensure attainment
  • Instill a consultative, solution-selling, high-performance sales culture
  • Execute quarterly and bi-weekly status calls with sales team to facilitate business growth
  • Lead account planning / status meetings, re-enforcing focus and accountability within the Sales team
  • Assist with the implementation of SalesForce CRM in 2018
  • Assess sales team training requirements and work with training department to create customized programs


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 – 10 years as a sales leader (managing a team of sales professionals)
  • University degree (at a minimum) … MBA, preferred
  • Incredible drive and motivation person and a history of consistently achieving business goals
  • I hate this term … but the role truly requires an Out-of-the-Box thinker who can execute … flawlessly
  • B2B / Transportation sales experience is an extremely desired asset
  • Travel across Canada … (25% to 30%)


REMUNERATION:

BASE SALARY: $130,000 – $142,500
ON-TARGET MBO: 25%

You won’t find too many sales people who haven’t seen this infamous movie … and while Alec Baldwin was more than a bit ‘over-the-top’ in this 1992 classic about unmotivated sales people … his message definitely resonates with every sales professional.

Good thing is … you won’t need to worry about working under a tyrannical sales leader in this role.

This Sales Manager is great!

SUMMARY:

In this role, you will be responsible for selling courier transportation services at the National Account level.

While managing a number of high profile / high revenue accounts, you will strategically call on competitive National Accounts … to build rapport and grow business!

I’m looking for a skilled sales hunter who instinctively leaves no stone unturned.

My client doesn’t necessarily need someone from the courier space (although that would be great). They would be more than happy to entertain a candidate with experience selling in the Transportation Industry – in any capacity.

Note: My client will also consider an awesome Field Sales professional (from the courier space) who is ready to step into National Accounts … but hasn’t had the opportunity to do so with their current organization.

POSITION: NATIONAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
REPORTING TO: REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
OFFICE: WEST GTA
INDUSTRY: COURIER (SMALL PARCEL)
TARGET MARKET: NATIONAL ACCOUNT TARGETS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote organization’s services to grow new business revenue
  • Understand prospects’ financial objectives, and link company’s value proposition, accordingly
  • Collaborate with internal departments to advance sales cycles and secure revenue opportunities
  • Establish extensive relationships at executive levels & across multiple decision makers (high, deep & wide)
  • Partner with internal departments in order to provide best product offerings and close opportunities


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4 to 5 years’ experience selling first-class solutions within the courier industry
  • Experience selling premium priced services to large market corporations
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen; ability to uncover additional revenue opportunities
  • Ability to utilize consultative selling process to present client-needs-oriented solutions


REMUNERATION:

BASE SALARY: $75,000 – $80,000
ON-TARGET VARIABLE: $40,000 (uncapped)
ON-TARGET EARNINGS (YEAR 1): $115,000 – $120,000+
