THE ’99 LUFTBALLONS’ ROLE (OTE: 160,000€ – 165,000€)

On their 1983, self-titled album … German band ‘Nena’ released “99 Luftballons”.
Following wild success across Europe … an English version (“99 Red Balloons”) was released the year after.

Since the English version of the song wasn’t a direct translation of the original … the band didn’t approve, claiming … “we made a mistake there. I think the song loses something in translation and even sounds silly.”

As such, even though the band has performed more than 500 concerts in the last 30+ years … Nena has never sung the English version, live!

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s role?
Absolutely nothing!

That said, Nena (real name; Gabriele Susanne Kerner) was born in Hagen, Germany … which is 50km from Düsseldorf.
And … it just so happens, Match and Fable is working on a senior sales role … based in Düsseldorf!

SUMMARY:

Their client base is a laundry list of prominent global organizations and that list is growing every day!
They’re set on even greater, explosive growth … and need some more help to get there!

Based from a home office in Düsseldorf … and reporting to the Global VP, Sales, the RSM will promote a SaaS solution offering in a business development capacity.

Please note; the successful candidate must speak both German + English (any other languages are a huge plus!)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for driving new revenue via new client acquisition – typically at F500 level
  • Attend tradeshows and networking events
  • Conduct on-line presentations and product demonstrations
  • Travel to client locations to conduct in-person needs assessments and assist with initial launch phase

 REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 5 – 7 years of solution sales experience
  • At least 3 years of successful software sales … (enterprise level) hunting experience

  • Ability to travel across territory … approximately 50%

REMUNERATION:

BASE SALARY: 80,000€ – 85,000€
ON-TARGET VARIABLE: 80,000€ (uncapped)

THE ‘PARLEZ-VOUS FRANÇAIS?’ ROLE ($45,000 – $50,000)

Back in 1978 … Luxembourg’s entry into the Eurovision Contest was a song titled … “Parlez-vous français?”  It was performed in French, by the Spanish disco duo – Baccara.

As far as the contest was concerned … they didn’t do so great … placing 7th in a field of 20 entries.

That said … it ended up being one of the year’s best-selling entries, reaching #8 in Sweden, #18 in Austria, #21 in West Germany and #30 on the Dutch singles charts!

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?
Well … not much, really!

That said … we’re on the hunt for a Customer Service Rep in Calgary … and they will need to “parlez français” … (as well as English)!

POSITION:                BILINGUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE REP

We placed an Enterprise Sales Executive with them 7 weeks ago … and our phone just rang – again!

Over the past few years … our global client has left their competitors in the dust.
Their client base is a laundry list of prominent global organizations … and it’s growing at a wicked clip!

They’re set for explosive growth … and need some help getting there!
They’ve asked Match and Fable to work our magic again … and find them a BILINGUAL Customer Service Rep for their Calgary-based office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prioritize and resolve complex issues with focus on client experience
  • Provide professional support to all clientele via telephone, email and chat
  • Verify details on regulatory documents and update interactions in CRM system
  • Support and explain client billing and subscription terms
  • Provide outbound follow-up, via phone and email
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments


REQUIREMENTS:

  • PREFERRED: Call center experience
  • MUST HAVE: Excellent communication skills in both – French & English (written and oral)
  • MUST HAVE: 1-2 years’ experience as a Customer Service Rep
  • MUST HAVE: Working PC knowledge, (Windows preferred) and related applications
  • MUST HAVE: Interpersonal and problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and attention to detail
  • MUST HAVE: Able to learn and apply new information / skills and an affinity for learning online software


REMUNERATION:

BASE SALARY: $45,000 – $50,000
OTHER: 100% medical & dental benefits + 3 weeks’ vacation + RRSP (match up to 4%)

THE ‘JOAN OF ARC’ ROLE (OTE: $97,500 – $105,000+)

Jeanne d’Arc was born to a peasant family.
At the age of 12, she began having visions.

In one particular ‘vision’ … the voice of God instructed her to renew the French nation.
So, she travelled to the uncrowned Dauphin of France and advised him to reclaim his French throne … and overthrow the English.

In 1431 … 17-year-old Joan mounted a stallion … and led the French troops at the siege of Orleans … earning notoriety when the siege was lifted after 9 days – leading to the ascension of Charles VII to the throne!

If the story ended there … it would be one of the best underdog stories ever. However, after being captured in battle, she was tried for heresy and burned at the stake! (kinda puts a damper on things … doesn’t it?)

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s role?
Well, nothing really.

That said, we’re trying to draw a parallel between two things.
First, just as Joan of Arc spoke French … that is also a requirement for this role.
Second, our client is looking for an Inside Sales Executive to help lead their business development charge in Eastern Canada!

That’s where we come in.
And that’s where you come in!

Based from a home office in the Montreal area, the Inside Sales Executive will be the ‘right-hand’ of the Enterprise Sales Executive … helping them promote the company’s SaaS solution, in a business development capacity – across Eastern Canada. The candidate must be perfectly bilingual.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive new revenue opportunities via inside sales efforts – (typically at F1000 level)
  • Work hand-in-hand with Enterprise Sales Executive to support her efforts (she’s awesome, by the way)
  • Conduct an intense daily effort of outbound prospecting calls + emails
  • Book qualified meetings for Enterprise Sales Executive to “do her thang” – her success is your success!
  • Attend tradeshows and networking events to help drive the business forward


REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 1 – 2 years of successful Inside Sales, “hunter-type” experience
  • Must be bilingual (English / French)
  • A genuine hunter mentality + super driven + ultra-collaborative
  • Understanding of CRM and diligent in maintaining accurate records
  • Ability to travel to regional trade shows (2 to 3 / quarter)
  • Ability to travel to the USA (2 to 3 times / year)
  • Driven – not the type of person who waits for the Marketing Department to send qualified leads


REMUNERATION:

BASE SALARY: $57,500 – $65,000
ON-TARGET VARIABLE: $40,000 (uncapped)
ON-TARGET EARNINGS: $97,500 – $105,000 (again … uncapped)
OTHER: home office + benefits + rrsp + travel expenses (obviously)
