Donna never sacrifices quality … in order to scratch a ‘to-do’ off her list.
She’s process-oriented with an urgency that has her constantly contemplating what more she can do to ‘advance the cause’!

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?
Nothing really.

That said, while Donna isn’t a real person … her character personifies what our client is looking for in this new position!

SUMMARY

Match and Fable’s client has asked us to find a motivated and no-nonsense coordinator. The position will collaborate with key personnel across all departments to help keep things moving … as they continue to grow their success in Canada.

POSITION:       OFFICE COORDINATOR
REPORTS TO:  VICE-PRESIDENT, CANADA
OFFICE:            RICHMOND HILL

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our client summed up this role as being “like a swiss army knife”.
The right individual will “help … where help is needed” …providing administrative support to all departments.
Now, we realize ‘administrative support’ is a broad term … but that’s absolutely by design.

The essence of the role is to support the company in every facet of their business.
Character, work ethic and a “no job is too big or small” attitude trumps experience when it comes to this position.

Here’s a ‘taste’ of what you’ll be doing;

  • General office duties including managing inbound calls + CRM management + data entry
  • Simple accounting (preparing invoicing + accounts receivable / payable + month end)
  • Work closely with Operations & Fleet Teams to help provide outstanding service to end clients
  • Work closely with sales to support them in their efforts to achieve sales quotas
  • Handle some random, (and sometimes wacky) … ‘out-of-the-blue’ requests


REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years’ administrative (office-type) experience
  • Excellent analytical skills and comfortable with web-based business applications
  • Strong client relations skills
  • Able to balance multiple projects simultaneously … and get them done … but done right!
  • A ‘genuine’ personality, others want to be around (since you’ll be spending a lot of time together)


REMUNERATION


BASE SALARY RANGE:
$50,000 – $60,000
ON-TARGET MBO: $5,000 (based on KPIs)
ON-TARGET EARNINGS:
$55,000 – $65,000

THE ‘HENRY ZIEGLAND’ ROLE (OTE: $107,500)

As the story goes … in 1883, Henry Ziegland of Honey Grove, Texas broke off his engagement to Miss Maysie Tichnor. Understandably devastated … the young lady committed suicide. When Maysie’s brother heard the tragic news, he travelled to Ziegland’s farm … pulled out a pistol, shot Henry … and then shot himself!

However, Ziegland did not die! The bullet only grazed his face … and lodged itself into a nearby tree.

Some 20 years later, as Ziegland was chopping down a tree … he found the axe he was using couldn’t do the job! So … Henry bored a few holes into the tree and placed a small amount of dynamite into the holes.  To be careful … he stepped about 50 feet away … and set off the explosion.

The bullet … (which had lodged itself into that same tree, 20 years earlier), was blown out of the tree … striking Ziegland in his left temple – and killing him, instantly!

POSITION:             QUALITY ASSURANCE – PRODUCT RELEASE
REPORTS TO:        DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE + COMPLIANCE

INDUSTRY:             PHARMACEUTICAL

SUMMARY:

Our client is a professional chemicals provider for compounding pharmacies.
They focus on the import, packaging, re-labeling and testing of API services.

Due to expansion …. They’re looking for a Quality Assurance professional to join their team.

Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance … the QA – Product Release professional will assist with the overall quality process, ensuring documentation, packing + labelling is up-to-date, as per Health Canada + FDA guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Track inbound + outbound API shipments … for review and release
  • Ensure facility is ‘up to snuff’ – performing environmental monitoring, maintaining warehouse temperature conditions, pest control services and conducting freezer testing
  • Provide oversight of activities to ensure compliance with GxPs
  • Prepare key quality documentation (deviations, change control, batch records, and CAPA documentation)
  • Label controls – maintain NDCs, review and approve labels for packaging
  • Maintain and issue documents for repackaging
  • Liaise with internal groups to ensure investigations + root cause analysis for non-compliance issues
  • Assist in compliance audits within departments + prepare result reports for Director of QA
  • Oversee compliance with internal training process
  • Investigate non-conformances … ensuring recurrence is prevented + participate in GMP audits

REQUIREMENTS:

  • MUST: 1 year of experience in a QA investigative role (in food or pharmaceutical industry)
  • MUST: Thorough knowledge of GMP, ISO: 9001 and GxP
  • MUST: Strong attention to detail + excellent written and oral communication skills
  • NICE TO HAVE: Experience in Stability Studies, Cleaning Validation and Lab testing
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

RULE #1: It had to ‘go down’ on a Saturday night … after dark.
(So … if your parents insisted you had to be home “when the street lights came on” … you pretty much disqualified yourself!)

RULE #2: You couldn’t knock on the screen door … it had to be the ‘real’ door!
(Having to open the screen door wasted precious seconds … increasing the odds of getting caught.)

RULE #3: You had to knock 3 distinct times.
(Ringing the doorbell, while knocking would elevate you to legendary status!)

RULE #4: You couldn’t pick the target house … that was always decided for you!
(And, it was usually a house with a crazy dog … or heaven forbid, the house everyone insisted was haunted.)
