Adam Brown of Hot Springs, Arkansas was an A-student and star football player – with a bright future. That is, until he met a lady with a drug habit.

In January 1933, five friends came up with a devious plan. With the help of a crooked insurance agent, they purchased a life insurance policy on Michael Malloy – a homeless, alcoholic.

Tony Marino, a tavern owner … offered Malloy an unlimited tab, banking on the idea Malloy would summarily drink himself to death … and the 5 friends (later dubbed The Murder Trust), would cash-in on the policy.

Malloy seized the opportunity to drink, from sunrise to sunset … and returned every day, to do it again.

Growing increasingly impatient … Marino swapped the liquor with antifreeze, then turpentine, then horse liniment and finally … rat poison. Malloy just kept drinking – unfazed!

In desperation … the men tried feeding Malloy a plate of raw oysters, soaked in wood alcohol … and a sandwich of spoiled sardines, mixed with poison & steel shavings. Malloy asked for a second helping!

They tried freezing him to death … and even ran him over with a car … yet, Malloy survived.

On February 23, 1933, after a full day of drinking … Malloy passed out. The five men carried him to a room, put a hose in his mouth (connected to a gas jet) … and Malloy died, within the hour.

Dr. Frank Manzella pronounced Malloy’s death a result of ‘lobar pneumonia’ and his body was swiftly buried. Police quickly heard rumors and ordered Malloy’s body be exhumed and examined.

Long story short … the men were aptly convicted of murder, and the “good doctor” was held as an accessory after the fact. One of the men went to prison while the remaining four booked their date with the electric chair!

THE ‘EXECUTIONER’ ROLE (OTE: $175,000 – $200,000)

In the late 1700’s, in Roscommon, Ireland … a woman named Betty and her son lived in terrible poverty.  Although uncommon for someone raised in such conditions, Betty was literate … so she taught her son to read and write. She constantly reminded her son that only money could bring him happiness … and when he was old enough … he left Roscommon to find fortune – in America!

One dark evening, many years later … a well-dressed gentleman knocked on Betty’s door asking for a place to stay. She welcomed him in, but that night, as he lay sleeping … Betty (with knife in hand) crept into his room … and murdered the man for his money!

As Betty rifled through the stranger’s belongings, she discovered this ‘stranger’ was in fact … her son!

The VP, Sales of this iconic organization is in need of a strong sales leader who can step in and execute.
Based from offices in Mississauga … you will manage a national sales team and play a vital role in driving the business forward into 2020 … and beyond.

POSITION: NATIONAL DIRECTOR, SALES
SCOPE: CANADA-WIDE
REPORTING TO: VP, SALES
OFFICE: MISSISSAUGA

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Executive Leadership Team to optimize and execute sales strategy for Canada
  • Along with VP, Sales … establish annual targets for national sales team and ensure attainment
  • Via a proven Sales Management Process … reinforce a consultative, solution-selling, performance culture
  • Execute regular status calls with sales team and support their client-facing efforts to facilitate growth
  • Lead account planning meetings, to reinforce focus and accountability across the sales organization
  • Assess team training requirements and work with training department to provide same

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 – 10 years as a sales leader (managing a team of sales professionals)
  • University degree, preferred
