Green Wood

Green wood is the term used for wood that has been recently cut and, as such … hasn’t had the opportunity to adequately dry. Seasoned wood, on the other hand … is wood, dried to a moisture content of about 20%.

If you were to use green wood in your fireplace … you’d find it releases considerably less heat than seasoned wood – as it needs to ‘spend’ a lot of energy simply evaporating the moisture.

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?

SUMMARY:

The Mental Health Nurse is responsible for the assessing, diagnosing, developing and implementing a care plan, as well as evaluating mental health nursing care.

Along with the healthcare team (within a primary care setting), the RN will focus on chronic disease and repatriated patients … ensuring patients have timely and efficient access to therapy.

The RN will provide exceptional nursing care using patient-focused health care plans as a framework for care.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow all Health Information and Records Management documentation standards and polices
  • Some light travel and tasks via tele-health or video conferencing (ie) diagnosis, consultation, treatment etc.
  • Provide clinical preceptorship to trainees or Clinical Supervision of Unlicensed Healthcare Providers
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement in keeping with Quality Management System
  • Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans with patients
  • Provide direct client care and interventions based on the prescribed treatment plan consistent with psychiatric illness and diagnosis in the diagnostic and statistics manual of mental health disorders
  • Participate in inter-disciplinary team meetings related to clinical care and service delivery
  • Complete deployment health related activities, (pre-deployment or enhanced post-deployment interviews)
  • Design / revise PowerPoint presentations for psycho-educational sessions (anger, stress management)


REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Registered Nurse Diploma or BA in Nursing
  • MUST HAVE: Certificate in Mental Health Nursing certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) (in good standing)
  • 2-5 years’ experience in Mental Health, Addictions (or related)

Match and Fable is looking for a Head Honcho for one of our steel fabrication clients, located in the Hamilton / Niagara Region.

To be honest … they probably won’t be cool with calling you ‘The Head Honcho’ … so you’ll have to settle for … Divisional President.

The Divisional President call the shots!
And the mandate is to overhaul business operations via a hands-on approach.

You will use your industry knowledge to grow the company’s ability to take on projects from start to finish.

In an industry often dictated by the economy, our client is looking for a leader who isn’t afraid to implement creative strategies to get ahead of the game … and truly lead the market!

We’re looking for someone with;

  1. An intimate understanding of the steel fabrication business.
  2. The capacity to be engaged in all parts of the business … (not an arm chair quarterback)!
  3. The leadership experience to generate improvements across the business – soup to nuts!


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with executive management, suppliers and union reps to leverage growth opportunities
  • Manage P&L and apply business acumen to decisions (Depreciation, ROI, Cash Flow, A/R, A/P)
  • Direct sales efforts to assist in account development and development of new markets
  • Review reports and take action to evaluate activities, costs, operations, budgets and forecasts
  • Negotiate pricing and issues with vendors
  • Maintain facility layout to promote safety, security, and productivity while leveraging space
  • Establish processes; 1:1’s, Team Calls, KPIs and determine how to best grow the business
  • Evaluate performance of personnel, develop goals … and provide formal and informal feedback
  • Promote an environment of empowerment, respect … and genuine accountability


REQUIREMENTS:
 

  • MUST HAVE: Leadership experience within a steel fabrication environment
  • MUST HAVE: Understanding of project costing and estimation, purchasing of project materials and subcontract services and experience in contract negotiations and review of contract terms and conditions
  • MUST HAVE: Knowledge of union contracts and negotiations


REMUNERATION:

BASE SALARY: $130,000 – $150,000
MBO POTENTIAL: $30,000 – $50,000 (UNCAPPED and tied to business performance)
ON-TARGET POTENTIAL: $160,000 – $200,000+
