THE ‘JOHNNY CASH’ ROLE (OTE: $75,000 – $85,000+)

JohnnyCash.png

One of seven children … J.R. Cash was born in Arkansas on February 26, 1932 and grew up on the family farm. His family made a living working in the cotton fields … a job Johnny was introduced to at the age of 5!

46 years later (following significant financial success as a country singer) … Johnny had built the “House of Cash” on a farm 25 miles outside of Nashville – where he kept exotic animals.

The winter of 1981 was particularly harsh and as such … Johnny decided he needed to move his animals into shelters to help them survive. As Johnny approached his 7-foot ostrich named Waldo, it was clear the bird was not in a good mood.

As he stepped up to the bird … Waldo jumped into the air and delivered a vicious kick … splitting Johnny’s stomach wide-open. The force of the kick broke 5 of his ribs and resulted in significant internal bleeding.

THE ‘CLIFF YOUNG’ PHARMA SALES ROLE

MF SIGN - EARLY BIRD GETS WORM - WORM IS GONE.png

In 1983 … 61-year-old potato farmer, Cliff Young shuffled to the starting line of Australia’s famous Sydney to Melbourne Ultramarathon!

All around him, muscular, twenty-somethings stretched and flexed … adjusting their fancy, name-brand gear. They went over their strategy … only minutes away from embarking on the grueling 875-kilometer race!

Many of them also snickered under their breath as their eyes darted towards the stranger in their midst.

Meanwhile … Cliff, dressed in overalls and rubber boots, removed his dentures and placed them in his pocket. He didn’t like how they rattled when he ran.

The starter’s pistol fired and the runners took off … leaving Cliff, the potato farmer … in their dust!

At the time … the widely accepted method in ultramarathon racing was to run for 18 hours … then sleep for 6.

Thing is … no one actually told Cliff he was supposed to stop to sleep!
So … Cliff simply kept running … and running … and running some more.

In fact, on a diet consisting of hot chocolate and water … Cliff ran for 5 and a half days straight! And to everyone’s surprise … he crossed the finish line in first place – 12 hours faster than anyone had before!

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?
Well … nothing really.

THE ‘LOUIS HEBERT’ PHARMACY MANAGER ROLE ($120,000 – $130,000)

Louis Hebert

Did you know Louis Hebert is considered Canada’s first apothecary … as well as the first European to farm here?

In 1617 … Louis, his wife and their three children sold most of their belongings in Paris, France … and boarded a ship destined for Quebec … (without iPads or Netflix to keep them entertained).

Upon their arrival … Louis’ knowledge as an apothecary … as well as his small store of grain … was an absolute godsend to the sick and starving … in his new ‘hood’.

Louis was the first settler to sow wheat and vegetables in Quebec … but he was forced into a bit of a ‘raw deal’.

You see, as a condition of his coming to “New France’ … Louis was indentured to the Canada Company for 2 years. This meant he had to hand over all the produce and grain he harvested during that time!

Once those 2 difficult years passed … he was awarded his own parcel of land and named a Lord for his contribution!

Unfortunately … one day in 1627 … Louis slipped on a patch of ice … and died from his injuries!
