THE ‘GREEN WOOD’ REGISTERED NURSE ROLE ($42.00 / HOUR)

Green Wood

Green wood is the term used for wood that has been recently cut and, as such … hasn’t had the opportunity to adequately dry. Seasoned wood, on the other hand … is wood, dried to a moisture content of about 20%.

If you were to use green wood in your fireplace … you’d find it releases considerably less heat than seasoned wood – as it needs to ‘spend’ a lot of energy simply evaporating the moisture.

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?
Absolutely nothing … other than the fact our latest role is actually based in Greenwood, Nova Scotia!

THE ‘911’ REGISTERED HEALTH NURSE ROLE (HOURLY: $42.00)

MF SIGN - HATE TO TELL YOU - THIS BABY'S GONE

In 1967, President Lyndon B. Johnson helped establish a single telephone number to be designated for callers to use in emergencies across America.

In 1968, ‘911’ became the national emergency number for the USA … with Canada following suit in 1972.

Interestingly enough … North America’s very first emergency number (999) had been introduced in Winnipeg nearly a decade earlier!

Eight women operators were dedicated to this emergency number and, get this … they only hired women … because the budget was too small to pay men ($200.00 -vs- $345.00 per month)!

What does this have to do with my role?
Nothing really.

That said … the Registered Nurse role Kelly Meadows is working on in Trenton, Ontario is WICKED URGENT … (but we won’t call 911)

THE ‘LION AND THE MOUSE’ REGISTERED NURSE ROLE (HOURLY: $54.00)

lion

Once upon a time … a lion was sleeping in the jungle. As a tiny mouse was passing by, it decided to have some fun … so it climbed up onto the lion and started running all over it.

Tickled by its footsteps … the lion awoke, snatched the mouse … and prepared to swallow it whole!

Horrified … the mouse begged for its life … promising the lion to pay back the favour one day … if it would spare its life. Amused at the notion … the King of the Jungle granted the mouse its wish … setting it free.

A few months later, the lion was captured by some poachers and tied to a tree until they could return with their vehicles to whisk it away. Moments later … the tiny mouse happened to be passing by.

Terrified … the lion called out to the mouse for help!

Remembering the mercy the lion had once shown it … the mouse sprang into action!
Gnawing feverishly at the rope … the lion was soon able to escape!

For years and years … Colonel Harland Sanders carried the secret formula to his Kentucky Fried Chicken® in the safest place he could think of … his head!

As you read this … the recipe is locked away in a vault in Louisville, Kentucky … and only a select group of individuals in the entire world know the exact details of the multi-million-dollar formula.

To keep the recipe ‘under wraps’ … one vendor mixes part of the formula while another mixes the rest … thereby ensuring neither has access to the entire recipe!
