One of seven children … J.R. Cash was born in Arkansas on February 26, 1932 and grew up on the family farm. His family made a living working in the cotton fields … a job Johnny was introduced to at the age of 5!

46 years later (following significant financial success as a country singer) … Johnny had built the “House of Cash” on a farm 25 miles outside of Nashville – where he kept exotic animals.

He joined the FBI in 1969 and since he knew how to drive an 18-wheeler … he was quickly assigned to the truck hijacking squad.

Joe’s ability to penetrate this crime ring led to the arrest of more than 30 criminals.
More importantly … Joe demonstrated his potential effectiveness for his next mission.

In September 1976, Pistone exited his local FBI office and ‘vanished’ for six years!
Long story short … under the alias of Donnie Brasco … he infiltrated the New York Mafia’s Bonanno Family.

Not a term heard often these days … unless you hang around Match and Fable’s offices!
One of it’s meanings refers to something being ‘hot’ … as in, attractive or desirable.
For example, “Match and Fable is hotter than a 3-dollar pistol”!

But, where did the term originate?
Well, back in the mid-1800’s … gun manufacturers like; Remington, Smith & Wesson and Winchester were selling a boat load of pistols.

As is often the case … counterfeiters saw an opportunity to capitalize … and make a quick buck.

To keep their pistol prices super low … their manufacturing processes and standards were naturally, extremely shoddy. Mismatched parts resulted in misaligned chambers and barrels … causing a slew of problems when fired! In fact, in some cases … these pistols would actually explode in the shooter’s hand!

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?
Well … not much.
That said … this role is “hotter than a 3-dollar pistol” … and won’t last long!

THE ‘WALTER COLLINS‘ ROLE (OTE: $110,000 – $132,000)

On March 10, 1928 … Christine Collins’ nine-year-old son Walter left his house in Los Angeles … heading to the local movie theatre … and vanished, in thin air!

As news of Walter’s disappearance spread across America … the LAPD’s competence was called into question. While the department had received hundreds of leads … there were no developments in the case.

5 months after Walter’s disappearance … the LAPD announced they had wonderful news … Walter had been located in DeKalb, Illinois … and was coming home!

As Walter’s mother watched the boy step down from the train … she turned to Captain JJ Jones and explained this child was not her son! In a blind effort to “save face” for the LAPD … the Captain insisted Christine take the boy home and “try him out for a couple of weeks”?!?!?

When Christine returned a few weeks later (dental records in hand) … proving the boy was in fact, not Walter … Captain Jones had her committed to a psychiatric ward!

Long story short … the imposter eventually admitted to being a runaway, looking for a free ticket to Los Angeles (to meet his favourite actor) … and Christine was released.

Sadly … while there are various theories about the case … Walter’s body was never found and Christine never stopped hoping he’d eventually turn up.

To ensure compliance, this position is responsible for managing all narcotic, pharmaceutical, medical device and OTC related federal licensing activities.
This person will be the primary company contact with Health Canada.

This MRA will ensure operations are compliant with applicable GMP standards (GUI-0001 “Good Manufacturing Practices” and GUI-0069 “Guidelines for Temperature Control of Drugs Products during Storage and Transportation”).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all licensing is obtained / maintained from Health Canada for operations across Canada
  • Single point of contact for all Health Canada matters, inquiries and inspections … re: compliance
  • Oversee development and delivery of all training material for company divisions / staff

THE ‘SNAKE OIL’ ROLE (OTE: $90,000 – $105,000 USD)

In 1854 … Clark Stanley was born in Abilene, Texas. He claimed that after a decade as a cowboy, he spent two years studying under a Hopi medicine man in Arizona. During his “apprenticeship”, Stanley claimed he was introduced to the unique, medicinal properties of snake oil.

Stanley soon began peddling his own version of Snake Oil Liniment at medicine shows across the Southwestern USA. A consummate showman … Stanley would stand before a gathered crowd … kill a few snakes and mix his potion. The mesmerized onlookers would inevitably open their wallets … paying 50 cents per bottle (equal to $15 in 2018).

He claimed his cure-all treated a laundry list of afflictions … from headaches to arthritis … to sciatica!
The “Rattlesnake King” eventually established production facilities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Short story shorter … in 1917 federal investigators seized a shipment of Stanley’s potion and determined it contained mineral oil, a fatty oil (likely beef fat), red pepper and turpentine … and not a single drop of snake oil!

Stanley was fined $20 for “misbranding” his product as a pain remedy and effectively disappeared from the public eye.

Based from a home office in the Boston area and reporting to the Director, Sales … the Account Executive will prospect, develop networks and secure new client relationships … focusing on permanent, live security surveillance in commercial businesses and remote sites (Live Video Monitoring, CCTV and Access Control)

The ideal candidate is definitely not a snake oil salesman and brings 5-7 years of successful sales experience, with a solid understanding of the condominium, commercial property, digital security or technology space.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prospect for new business opportunities by cold calling, direct marketing & via industry events
Ensure peak penetration by strategically managing their assigned territory
Work with clients to create tailored and effective security offerings
Full sales cycle responsibility through to managing client onboarding and installations
Manage existing client accounts + renewal and maintenance of contracts

REQUIREMENTS:

MUST HAVE: 5 to 7 years of B2B sales experience, selling technical services or products
Proven results as a top performer in sales (ie. President’s Club winner etc.)
Must live in the territory
Driven to exceed sales targets, strong prospecting, relationship building and closing skills
Understands business implications of decisions; demonstrates knowledge of market and competition
BIG PLUS: Experience selling into the multi-residential and/or property management sector

REMUNERATION:

BASE SALARY:  $65,000 – $75,000 (USD)
ON-TARGET VARIABLE: $25,000 – $30,000 (USD) (uncapped)
ON-TARGET EARNINGS: $90,000 – $105,000 (USD)
OTHER: mileage + vacation + phone, laptop + health benefits (medical/dental/vision) + 401K
