THE ‘WOLF’ ROLE (OTE: $80,000)

WOLF

Jordan Ross Belfort was born in Queens, New York, on July 9, 1962.
As a young man, Jordan found his calling in sales … selling ice cream at a local beach, and meat … from door-to-door.

In 1987 … Belfort became a stock broker trainee … 2 years later … he founded Stratton Oakmont.

The company would go on to earn millions in profits by defrauding investors with “pump and dump” schemes … to the tune of $200 million.

In 2003, the man … more commonly known as the “Wolf of Wall Street” … was sentenced to 4 years in prison and ordered to pay back $110 million!

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?

THE ‘GEE THIS ROLE SMELLS TERRIFIC’ ROLE (OTE: $80,000)

GEE SMELLS TERRIFIC

Some of you may not remember the BiWay (or its biggest competitor … Bargain Harold’s) … but for a good decade of my life … it was virtually all I knew – because it was one of the only places my mother would shop!

As a point of reference … BiWay would have slotted in somewhere between a Dollar Store and Wal-Mart.

Given our Croatian roots, my mom was all about saving a buck. And, her ‘modus operandi’ was to choose items that were on sale.

Brand loyalty was non-existent and, as a result, I grew up washing my hair with everything from Beer Enriched Body-On-Tap (for Oily Hair) … to Short ‘n’ Sassy (for Dry Hair) … to Prell (for Permed Hair)!
Ultimately … if it was on sale … that was our choice!

For months and months … my sister Manda and I begged my mom to buy a shampoo everyone was talking about. We had seen the commercials … and simply had to have it. Each request was denied … until one fateful day when we walked into BiWay and saw a sign that read … “Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific – On Sale”!

Imagine our delight when my mother said we could each get our own bottle!
We used that shampoo sparingly … and I think we were able to stretch it out for almost a whole year!

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?
Well … nothing, really.
That said, our client’s offering is pretty terrific … and they’re looking for a Sales Executive to join their team in a hunter sales capacity.

THE ‘HULKA-MANIA’ ROLE (OTE: $80,000)

HULKA-MANIA

In 1953, Terry Gene Bollea was born in Augusta, Georgia.
Years later … at his local gym … he met brothers, Jack & Jerry Brisco.

The brothers introduced Bollea to wrestling on small circuits in Southeast USA.
Eventually … he caught the eye of Vince McMahon (owner of the World Wrestling Federation). McMahon offered Bollea the opportunity to join the WWF.

Standing a towering 6 feet 8 inches and weighing 303 pounds … Bollea assumed the stage name of “Hulk Hogan”.

Hogan won his debut match against Andre the Giant and became the instant darling of wrestling fans across the globe.
In 1984, he defeated the Iron Sheilk to win the championship belt … and rose to super-stardom!

“Hulkamania” would go on to dominate the pop culture scene for much of the decade!

THE ‘CRO COP’ ROLE (OTE: $160,000 – $165,000)

CRO COP

Mirko Filipovic was born September 1974 in Privlaka, Croatia.
Raised in a working-class family … Mirko quickly realized hard work could be the key to his success.

As a young boy, Mirko’s voracious desire to be the best was unrivaled. His training regimen took place in the family barn where he used crude implements in place of real gym equipment.

Metal scraps from the railway served as weights … and his punching bag was filled with cotton and sand.

Every evening, as darkness fell, the thuds from Mirko’s kicks against a wall could be heard throughout the village – for hours.  This routine resulted in a neighbour having to repair the wall every few weeks, as the concrete blocks inevitably came loose.

From humble beginnings … Mirko would go on to establish himself as a key member of Croatia’s Special Police Forces.  Even more impressively … he rose to the apex of the Mixed Martial Arts world.

Cro Cop is widely considered to be one of the most decorated champions the sport has ever seen.

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?
Nothing, really.

That said, my client is looking for a sales professional who shares Mirko’s unparalleled work ethic when it comes to the desire to succeed.

THE ‘SWEETEST’ ROLE (OTE: $160,000 – $165,000)

SWEETEST - HIGHER EDUCATION

In 1912 … an American pharmacist named, Wilbur Scoville developed the Scoville scale to measure the level of capsaicin found in hot peppers. Essentially … capsaicin is the primary chemical responsible for the spicy heat of peppers.

You’d think a similar scale would exist to measure ‘sweetness’ – but there isn’t!
Wanna know why?
Well … to keep it short … the Scoville scale measures a specific item, capsaicin – period.

When it comes to sweetness … there are far too many sweeteners in the world.
Creating a scale would only allow for the measurement of a single type of sweetener in a single type of food.

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?
Nothing, really.

That said … if Match and Fable could measure sales roles in terms of sweetness … this one would spike your levels!

THE ‘CONDUCTOR’ ROLE (PHARMACY MANAGER) ($115,000 – $120,000+)

the conductor role

We’ve all seen conductors stand in front of their orchestra … waving their arms in the air. However … most of us don’t appreciate the true value of their contribution.

In fact … the conductor’s primary purpose is to keep the orchestra coordinated, so each musician knows when to start and stop playing – at the exact right times.

Interestingly enough, the radius of the conductor’s motions (the exaggerated, circular flailing of the arms) appears to have zero impact on perceived beat.  Apparently … it’s the velocity and acceleration of their motions that are the key factor in determining beat!

What does this have to do with Match and Fable’s latest role?

THE ‘DUCKS IN A ROW’ ROLE

DUCKS IN A ROW

Having one’s “ducks in a row” refers to an individual being well prepared and organized for something that is about to happen.

But, you might be surprised to learn the term has nothing to do with why ducks travel in a single file.

When they are very young, ducklings have a hard time making their way through heavy vegetation. As such, they tend to follow their mothers in single file because her movement through an area pushes foliage and other obstructions aside … creating a smoother path for the ducklings! And … when it comes to swimming … single file movement reduces wind resistance and drag!

THE ‘EYE IN THE SKY’ ROLE (OTE: $55,500 – $67,000)

EYE IN THE SKY

For those gutsy enough to attempt a casino heist … the results are almost always fruitless.
And, while many elaborate schemes have been hatched over the years … very, very few have resulted in a prosperous haul.

That said … Bill Brennan, a clean-cut 34-year-old from Pennsylvania … is the exception to that rule … and the simplicity of his plan left both security and police detectives scratching their heads!

On September 22, 1992, Mr. Brennan reported to work as a floor cashier at the Stardust Casino in Las Vegas … just as he had been doing for the previous 4 years.

As usual, Bill worked the first half of his shift but … when his lunch break rolled around, he grabbed his gym bag (filled with $500,000) … strolled past security … out the front door … and for all intents and purposes … vanished from the face of the earth!

The most successful robbery in Las Vegas history!
